APFL Maintains Strong International Recognition with Chambers and Partners

APFL & Partners has been recognised in the 2024 Chambers and Partners Asia-Pacific Legal Guide

Following a strong showing in other international rankings (such as the Asia Law AwardsIFLRLegal 500, and the Asia Business Law Journal), this latest positive recognition is testament to our hard-earned reputation as one of the leading international law firms in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

APFL & Partners was awarded ‘Band 3’ in Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions as well as Dispute Resolution in the 2024 guide. Our team has decades of experience in these areas. For instance, in M&A, we have advised on the EUR 1 billion sale of a retail chain – one of the largest M&A deals ever recorded in Vietnam. Likewise, in Dispute Resolution, we have acted for a consortium of international lenders on a USD 600 million loan granted to a Vietnamese State-owned Enterprise.

Three of our partners were also recognised for their expertise and reputation in these fields. Hanoi-based Partner Bernadette Fahy was ranked ‘Band 1’ – the highest-possible award – for her work in Dispute Resolution: International Arbitration. Meanwhile, Managing Partner Nicolas Audier was awarded ‘Band 3’ and HCMC-based Partner Etienne Laumonier was awarded ‘Band 4’ in Corporate and M&A.

The Chambers and Partners Asia-Pacific Legal Guide includes an annual ranking of law firms and legal professionals from across the region. It provides independent, in-depth recommendations based on interviews, reputation, client satisfaction, peer knowledge, and submissions.

The rankings take into account factors such as commercial awareness, demonstration of diligence, cost-effectiveness, and breadth of advice.
