Christophe is Of Counsel based in Hanoi. An attorney-at-law and member of the Paris bar, he has 14 years of professional experience during which he has developed special skills in commercial law and in infrastructure projects.

 

Overview

Of Counsel, Member of the Paris Bar, ACIArb (Chartered Institute of Arbitrators), Christophe holds a Postgraduate Master’s Degree in Business law (DJCE) from Cergy-Pontoise University.

Christophe is a Member of the Board of Directors at the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Vietnam (CCIFV).

Before joining APFL & Partners, he worked for more than 10 years in major British and French law firms in France, notably Hogan Lovells LLP, where he developed special skills in international transactions.

In Vietnam, he handles all aspects of international construction projects (e.g., metro lines, water infrastructures, refinery) and assistance on operational matters to Vietnamese and international clients across a wide range of industry sectors (especially in rail transport, oil and gas). Christophe provides practical advice on contractual work, from negotiation (bidding process) to drafting (EPC contracts, FIDIC Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, White and Pink Books), supporting clients’ day-to-day operations and strategic business activities (claims on extension of time, additional costs, variation, suspension, termination, bank guarantees). His main practice areas also include risks analysis and alternative dispute resolution (Dispute Board, Arbitration).

In addition, Christophe also has a substantial experience in advising multinationals companies in many facets of their corporate life from establishment through to various aspects of evolution, such as in labour law.
